LAST PARENT LETTER OF THE 2007·2008 SCHOOL YEAR

A SPECIAL THANKS TO CHRISTINA RIGHETTI & ANNE IBSEN FOR THEIR TIME AND ENTHUSIASM IN OUR FUNDRAISER. ENOUGH CANNOT BE SAID ABOUT HOW MUCH THEIR EFFORTS HAVE MEANT TO OUR STAFF AND FAMILIES. A great big thank you goes out to ALL our volunteers and families who participated, we could not have accomplished all we did without you!! So far we have raised over $15,600 and we're still counting!!! Cut off date to

determine prize winners is Friday, June 6, 2008, so keep asking your sponsors to send their contributions in.

HOME-RUN HITTERS FOR THE YEAR AWARD ­

Wednesday, June 4th Thursday June 5th (K-3rd) Congratulations! Wednesday, June 4 ,2008-Our qualifying 4 grade students will attend an Oakland A's game (vs. Detroit Tigers). Departure is 11:00am, returning at 4:30pm. Parents are needed to drive and are welcome to come along-tickets are $17 for non-driving adults. Thursday June 5th_Qualifying K_3rd grade students will go to Train Town in Sonoma. Departure is 8:30am, returning at 12-12:3Opm. Parents are needed to drive! Modest Free dress day.

Kindergarten Info Night-Thursday 5th

Please tell all your friends/family about our wonderful school. Invite them to a kindergarten information night on Thursday, June 5th at 6pm in RID 201. Mrs. Mychajluk will speak about her exciting and

challenging kindergarten program. Childcare is provided, so please RSVP and call the office 892-5713.

YEARBOOKS NOW FOR SALE IN THE OFFICE

Middle School Beach Trip, Friday June 08 Departure is 8:30am, returning 2:00pm. WE NEED DRIVERS! !! Modest free dress day: Girls are to wear modest one-piece swimsuits andlor a heavy, dark-colored T-shirt over their suit. Board shorts are suggested as well.

Annual Elementary School Picnic (K·5Ih grades) -Wednesday, 11 th08

This is always a very fun day! We need several parents to help and drive to/from Marinwood Co=unity

Center in Terra Linda. Contact Miss Scott or your child's teacher ASAP. All drivers meet in the Chapel

at 8:30am on Monday for information before departure. Modest Free dress day and swimsuit.

Elementary Awards Ceremony and Graduation -Friday, June 13th at 9:00 AM

Kindergarten through fifth grades will have their year-end awards assembly. Kindergarten students will

be receiving their graduation certificates at this time. Please feel free to invite family members to this

event. This is not a free dress event, uniforms (or nicer attire for kindergarten) must be worn.

Middle School Awards Assembly and Eighth Grade Graduation Ceremony -Thursday, ,June 12th at 7:00 PM This very exciting time is held in the Church Sanctuary. Please feel free to invite family members to this event and the reception immediately following.

Important Dress Code Notice: 61h and 71h graders dress in school uniform (good condition, no shorts) OR boys wear nice dress slacks, collared shirts &tie. Girls wear dress slacks/skirts/dresses (below the knee), no sleeveless or spaghetti­strap please. Eighth graders: Boys wear dress slacks, collared shirt &tie or suit. Girls wear dress slacks/skirts/dresses (below the knee). No sleeveless, spaghetti-straps, etc. shirts/dresses.

FRIDAY, JUNE 13th LAST DAY OF SCHOOL Minimum Day Dismissal @ 11am. Extended daycare will be available as usual.

SUMMER 2008

Summer Day Camp 2008 for through Enroll now in our summer day camp program beginning June 16 . Monthly and weekly rates are available. Please contact our school office for more information at 892­5713. Remember, registration for the program goes up to $50 per child after June 16th

Gen7's Annual Whitewater Rafting Camp available to all graduating 5th. 6th, 7th, & 8th graders!

Every summer, the student ministries department of New Life goes whitewater rafting on the Klamath River for an Incredible week of challenging rapids, making new friends, and growing in the faith. The dates for the camp are June 30 -July 4*. We have returned to this camp for 15 years and that alone speaks for itself. We drive on Monday, raft Tuesday-Thursday, and then return on Friday. Mr. Mychajluk, Ms. Molinsky, & Mrs. Campbell will also be chaperoning this year's camp. We are expecting close to 100 students at this camp and the cost will be $200 per person. *graduating 5th graders will return home on July 3rd after the last day of rafting with Mr. Mychajluk & Ms. Molinsky so they can participate in the 4th of July Parade.

LOST AND FOUND

Please check in the preschool breezeway for your child's jackets, sweaters, lunch boxes, etc. At the end ofthe year anything left will be bagged and donated to a local charity.
